Hey! I am..

chrissie hiller

I am a mum, wife, coach and..

a mum boss!

I want to tell you more about me and my journey so that you understand why I want to help busy, working, professional mums just like you.

I struggled with my weight from approximately the day after my 18th birthday! I went through my adult life on and off of various fad diets and slimming clubs. I lost weight then put it back on..rinse repeat…for years. I never found a method that stuck, and even when I could keep the weight off for a few weeks I still wasn’t happy.

After having my son, Charlie, in March 2011 I suffered with post natal depression. As the years went on, I suffered with short periods of depression and anxiety. I rarely slept well and was constantly in a battle with myself over my weight and how I looked. In 2013 when we got back from our honeymoon I started training for the London Marathon. After I completed it in 2014 I joined a gym near my office. It was a proper muscle builders gym with no windows and a funky smell. Soon enough I worked up the courage to hire a PT and I worked with her for about 3 months. She taught me how to lift weights and I completely fell in love (with the gym, not the PT, but she was amazing!). I got serious about the gym and made it a habit to go every morning before work. I started taking an interest in nutrition and listening to various podcasts, reading books and articles and following trainers on social media. This continued for about 5 years and I became known for my dedication to the gym and my knowledge of food and nutrition.

Fast forward to 2019, one of the most challenging and difficult years of my life.  As my son got older and I advanced in my corporate career the demands of juggling family and work life became more challenging. I was stressed, on the edge of burnout, depressed, anxious and using food and/or alcohol to cope with those feeling..hello emotional eating!

I never had any time for myself, I was over-training in the gym, binging at the weekend and my relationships were suffering.

It all came to a head when I found myself unable to leave the house because of crippling social anxiety. Then I started getting physically ill. I can’t remember the exact order but it was one thing after another. A cold that led to sinusitis, shingles, migraines, exhaustion. At this point, I knew something had to change.

I was signed out of work and decided to use that time to educate myself more on nutrition and fitness. I worked on my mindset, my relationship with food, my body and myself. I started to build healthy habits into my day, fuelling my body with nutritious food, resting where I needed to and focussing on my own needs and self-care. The result was that I lost weight but best of all I started to love who I was again.

I soon recognised that many mums have a story similar to mine. No time for themselves, using food and maybe alcohol to get them through the day or as a way of celebrating the end of another rat race week, tired, exhausted and most of all desperately unhappy. I wanted to change that, I wanted to help.

So I decided to use my qualifications and life experience to help other Mums get the life they deserve away from restrictive or emotional eating, by taking time for self-care and finding self-love again.

And so The Mum Boss Method was born!

I have helped hundreds of Mums to take back control of their nutrition, body and mind through my community and my programmes and I would love to help you!

Now you know why I do this and why The Mum Boss Method is even a thing!

Love, Chrissie xx
